EXPRESSION OF THANKS “A TOTAL COMMITMENT IS PARAMOUNT TO REACHING THE ULTIMATE IN PERFORMANCE” The Jammu and Kashmir Bank Officers’ Association, Kashmir places on record its gratitude and sincere thanks to honorable Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir State, Ms. Mehbooba Mufti, honorable Minister for Finance, Education, Labour & Employment Mr. Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and honorable Minister for Tourism Mr. Tasaduq Hussain Mufti for their support, concern and involvement concerning the vital issues and timely intervention for maintenance of vibrant loan book of the Bank. The concern expressed by these honorable dignitaries and keen interest shown in the affairs of the Bank in the recently concluded meetings at Civil Secretariat, Jammu for progress, growth and prosperity of the flagship institution J &K Bank are really commendable. The Jammu and Kashmir Bank Officers’ Association, Kashmir, a responsible trade union organization of the state is honored and humbled by the timely roll out of “Chief Minister’s Business Interest Relief Scheme” by the Government which provides relief to all affected borrowers whose accounts were restructured in the year 2014 after the devastating floods and subsequent unfavorable business conditions in the year 2016 when the business activities in the state came to standstill. In our recently held back to back meetings, besides other important issues relating to the Bank, request was made to the Government for early release of subsidies/incentives related to Govt. Sponsored schemes and budgetary support to exposure to Sensitive Sectors and rehabilitated portfolio. The assurance extended by the Government during these meetings and their commitment to extend every possible support to safeguard the interests of the institution was finally turned into reality after first tranche of funds to this effect were released despite no budgetary provisions available for the current financial year. We are hopeful that other items submitted through detailed Memorandum and also discussed in these meetings will also be considered positively. The Jammu and Kashmir Bank Officers’ Association, Kashmir, is also thankful to esteemed customers of the J & K Bank who responded aptly to our appeal published in Daily Greater Kashmir in the month of November,2017 for their cooperation and maintained the quality of their borrowal accounts after drawing their well devised business repayment plan. We reiterate our commitment that The Jammu And Kashmir Bank Officers’ Association Kashmir is well aware of its role and responsibilities towards the betterment of institution, Obligation towards public, besides welfare and well being of J & K Bank family and assures all stake holders that work force of the Bank being undoubtedly dedicated, committed, hardworking and well versed in their trade will leave no stone unturned to build a strong institution.
